Started in 1976, Habitat for Humanity built its 200,000th home in 2005.
Habitat for Humanity International is a Christian organization and welcomes volunteers from all faiths who are committed to Habitat's goal of eliminating poverty Housing. Homes are sold with no profit made. Homeowners contribute "Sweat Equity" and house payments are recycled to build additional homes.

Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County promotes home ownership with volunteers building houses in partnership with Snohomish County residents in need of adequate housing.
