After making several financial contributions to help with the construction of Phoenix II, Washington Association of Mortgage Professionals decided to get their hands dirty and come out to the build site, yesterday. WAMP brought 10 volunteers, the maximum we allow in one day, to the site after asking if they could bring 15 and many of them didn’t want to go home once the day was over.
Since yesterday, we’ve received five emails from WAMP build volunteers asking if they could come out to Phoenix II and help in the future.
We are overjoyed at the level of WAMP’s involvement with Habitat Snohomish. Without them, the Phoenix II house may not have been possible. We thank WAMP Executive Director Frank Percival for coordinating a successful partnership and for pulling together several resources that greatly helped our organization.
WAMP completed our sixth build day over the course of the last nine days – normally we only do two build days per week. The level of volunteer help and group builds we’ve had in the Phoenix II house have turned this project into a major success. Thank you to WAMP and all other build groups and individual volunteers that have helped and those who continue to help in the construction of Phoenix II.
