Veterans Build

What is Veterans Build?

Veterans Build is Habitat for Humanity’s national initiative to engage veterans, current service members, their families and families of the fallen in Habitat’s mission and work. The program gives past and present members of the U.S. Armed Forces opportunities to volunteer on build projects, attend home buyer education classes and become homeowners. Veterans Build is our way of serving the Snohomish County men and women who have served our country.

Volunteer

Volunteering with Habitat through the Veterans Build program is a meaningful way for veterans and active-duty service members to unite and serve in their own community. Being part of a Veterans Build project is an opportunity to use and learn skills, while paying it forward as you help a family in the community build strength, stability and self-reliance.
You can learn about how to volunteer with us or sign up for a volunteer orientation here.

Sponsor

Investing in Habitat’s Veterans Build program allows companies and organizations to make a difference for veterans and active-duty service members and their families in the local community. It also offers an opportunity for companies and organizations to highlight their commitment to community service and support. By sponsoring Veterans Build, you will support a Snohomish County family in addition to our local veteran and military community. Read more about sponsorship here.

Our first Veterans Build project in Gold Bar

Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County built a single-family, two-bedroom home in Gold Bar, Washington. Under the Veterans Build program, this project aspires to provide home ownership opportunities to a veteran, active-duty service member or their families. See the gallery below for photos from the groundbreaking and other build days.
