Safe, decent, affordable housing is the centerpiece of Veterans Build. We are expanding programs to build new homes that are energy-efficient and affordable in partnership with veterans and active-duty service members. It is our goal to serve veterans by providing affordable home ownership opportunities.
We provide volunteer experiences that bring together veterans, military families and their neighbors. These experiences ease the transition to civilian life and keep veterans engaged with new types of service by offering fulfilling volunteer opportunities on the build site.
Our first Veterans Build project in Gold Bar
Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County is building a single-family, two-bedroom home in Gold Bar, Washington. Under the Veterans Build program, this project aspires to provide home ownership opportunities to a veteran, active-duty service member or their families. Additionally, this project seeks to engage veterans and active-duty service members in at least one-third of its build dates.
Through shelter, we empower.
