Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, is a 501(c)3 Washington nonprofit corporation and a registered charity founded in 1991. Habitat Snohomish is a volunteer-driven organization that provides a permanent home to Snohomish County families who earn between 20 and 80 percent of the Area Median Income and spend more than 30 percent of their gross income on housing. Habitat gives families the opportunity of homeownership through the use of volunteer labor and an affordable mortgage. Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with or benefit from our work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people. Habitat Snohomish is a Christian-based ministry that works  with people of all faiths and ways of life; we bring people together to build homes, communities and hope.
