Habitat Snohomish invites you to participate in one of the biggest charitable giving days of the year! Give Big is bringing our community together now through May 5 to support nonprofits in fulfilling their missions and making an even greater impact for those they serve.

Your donation to Habitat Snohomish will help us launch our new Home Repair Service for low-income families, seniors, veterans, and persons with disabilities.

The demand for these repairs is high. Our office typically receives 3 to 5 calls per week from people who cannot afford to fix falling gutters, crumbling stairs, or sagging siding.

After several test projects in the fall, Habitat Snohomish is now tripling the number of repair projects we can do to help meet the need for neighbors like Barbara.

The steps to Barbara’s mobile home were badly decayed, and her decreased physical abilities meant her safety and mobility were at risk. Our Home Repair Service brought the community together to give Barbara the ramp she needed.

For seven days, Habitat volunteer builders removed the crumbling stairs and then got to work constructing the ramp. A team of five worked nonstop to build it at just the right angles for Barbara. The costs for the project were covered by Habitat Snohomish and generous donations of materials from local businesses. Volunteers from her church put on the finishing touches with a fresh coat of paint.

“The ramp has helped her a great deal. She has her mobility back with the outside world.”
Will you help us meet our goal of $8,000 to bring essential home repair services to your neighbors in need?
