Today, we’d like to introduce you to a great volunteer, Sandy Flores! Sandy was introduced to Habitat Snohomish when she and her family applied for and was selected to be a partner family.
“It all started with Habitat choosing us to be a partner family. We became Habitat homeowners in 2016, and it changed our lives for the better. Our kids now have a house to grow up in! We are so full of gratitude, and I just want to help the organization in the same way that they helped me,” said Sandy.
Currently, Sandy serves as a family liaison on the Family Services Committee. “I get to help the families through the process of owning their own Habitat home. I volunteer with a team that focuses on building relationships & community, and I am so honored to be a part of the process.”
Her favorite part about volunteering with Habitat Snohomish is being part of a team and making a difference, knowing the impact of Habitat first-hand.
“I have seen God’s love at work through Habitat. I am so thankful, and there is no way that I wouldn’t want to be a part of this organization that does so much for families & the community.”
